This tour has all the main attractions of Gibraltar – The 100 ton Gun, Europa Point, The Pillars of Hercules, St Michaels Cave, O’Hara’s Battery, Rock Apes, the Great Siege Tunnels, WW2 Tunnels, City Under Siege Exhibition and Moorish Castle.
During the day you will have time to have lunch or a snack.
Also, you will visit the shopping area in Main Street before heading back to the drop off point.

What To Expect
Napier of Magdala Battery
Right on the west coast, at the bay of Gibraltar’s shores. A 15 minute to visit it’s small museum and this huge gun battery. Built in 1870 by Sir W C Armstrong, in Newcastle. 4 guns were built, today only two guns remain, one in Gibraltar, the other in Malta. An amazing weapon in it’s time and still is today. 100 Tons – Muzzle Loading – 32ft long barrel – steam powered able to penetrate 2 ft of iron, it’s 200lbs shell, reaching speeds of 1500 ft per second. A reenacment of the gun firing was held in 2002.

Europa Point
Europa Point, is the southernmost point of Gibraltar. At the end of the Rock of Gibraltar, the area is flat and occupied by such features as a playing field and a few buildings.

The Pillars of Hercules was the phrase that was applied in Antiquity to the promontories that flank the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. The northern Pillar, Calpe Mons, is the Rock of Gibraltar.

St. Michael's Cave or Old St. Michael's Cave is the name given to a network of limestone caves located within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar, at a height of over 300 metres above sea level.

The Great Siege Tunnels
The Great Siege Tunnels in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar, also known as the Upper Galleries, are a series of tunnels inside the northern end of the Rock of Gibraltar. They were dug out from the solid limestone by the British during the Great Siege of Gibraltar of the late 18th century.

The Moorish Castle Complex (The Tower of Homage and The Gate House)
The Moorish Castle is the name given to a medieval fortification in Gibraltar comprising various buildings, gates, and fortified walls, with the dominant features being the Tower of Homage and the Gate House. Part of the castle itself also housed the prison of Gibraltar until it was relocated in 2010.
