What To Expect

Outstanding Small Group Tour
HSLawyer, 02-12-2022
This company delivers everything that is expected in a tour, and much more. The entire experience was outstanding from beginning to end. My pre-booking inquiries and questions were promptly answered. The booking process was straightforward. The tour started where and when it was supposed to start. All expectations for the things to see were satisfied. This is a first-class operation that offers quality service for a reasonable price. 5 Stars
This tour is not merely necessary to see Gibraltar; it’s indispensable

Our tour guide Dale is a native Gibraltarian who answered every question we could throw at him and knows the labyrinthine Rock like the back of his hand. He has done this tour dozens if not hundreds of times but his presentation was as fresh as if we were his first and only tourists.
Dale was personable, informative, patient and entertaining, and I cannot recommend his services highly enough. You will be doing yourself a disservice if you do not hire him to show you his unique and fascinating homeland.
Great tour guide.

Absolutely wonderful tour. I only had a half day to see Gibraltar and I didn't want to waste time finding my way around. Carl is very informative and fun. He is a native Gibraltarian and you can tell he really loves his country. I was on a road trip around Spain and had a car. He advised me to park at the border and meet him right on the other side to avoid the long border crossing lines for autos. It worked out very well. I highly recommend Inside Out.
Wonderful Tour in Gibraltar!

This tour was one of the highlights of our France/Spain/Portugal cruise! Carl's associate, Adrian, was our driver/tour guide and he was excellent. He has a fabulous personality and was exceptionally skilled at getting us into all the destinations quickly (the road to the top can be crowded) and providing background, history, and the best picture spots. We met in the marketplace, which was an easy walk from the cruise port, and Adrian dropped us off at the cruise port at the end. All the sites are great, but we particularly enjoyed St. Michael's Cave, the Great Siege Tunnels, the monkeys, and just being at the top of the rock. Also, we did not realize the 100 Tonne Gun would be so impressive -- don't skip it! Many thanks, Adrian and Carl, for an unforgettable tour.
Inside and Out of the Rock with Gibraltar’s best guide, Carl Mesilio
ChiromomRaleighNc, 12-09-2022
Carl Mesilio was fabulous and very knowledgeable about ALL of Gibraltar! He has lived here his whole life and it shows in his enthusiasm and ability to educate you on the history of this area. We picked a time for a morning tour and started at 9:30 am. I was very nervous about even going ahead with the tour because once we woke up at 8:00 am you could barely see with the clouds. I didn’t want to waste $ if we couldn’t see but I reached out to Carl and he said it was the best time of day as around midday the fog rolls in and the first part of morning is usually best and not to worry it would clear up. He was right! I am so happy we chose his company as he is one of the licensed drivers who can take you all around the rock into areas that the shuttle buses from the cruise lines can not! We saw many other people walking from one site to another and from St Michael’s Cave to top of the rock is straight uphill at a steep incline! At the top of the rock you have the best views AND upper Apes’ den. Here is where we saw the most monkeys and were able to interact with them. The cruise lines shuttle buses do not go up here and the view from the top of the rock is stunning! We were able to see and walk through the St Michael’s Cave with light show, Top of Rock with upper Ape’s den and monkeys, walk out on the overhang at the top of the rock, walk the Swinging Bridge, Great Siege tunnels, World War 2 tunnels and exhibits, and Moorish Castle. He knew where to take us for the best picture spots too! Before we went to the old portion of Gibraltar where you begin the climb up the rock to the sites, we were able to stop at the 100 Tonne Gun area, and Europa Point where the lighthouse is located. We learned so much in these few hours about Gibraltar and most importantly got to experience the sights atop the Rock! Thank you Carl for a fabulous time to Gibraltar as you made it memorable!
